The Kite Loft, proud of success, Thanks Employees, Customers, Suppliers
and Friends for their support
In a proud statement issued from their company headquarters, The Kite
Loft announced that 2006 is the 31st Anniversary of the founding of
their business. The company was started back in 1975, the same year that
the first personal computers became available to the public. Could you
imagine your life today without this incredible machine? And for the
times when your computer didn't quite work, Tylenol made its debut as a
superior pain reliever. What else happened in 1975 you ask? Pet rocks
were the latest craze, and everyone had one. They came with their own
special house and each pet was different. If pets weren't your cup of
tea, perhaps it was rings. Yes folks, mood rings were very popular.
Deaths included actress Susan Hayward, millionaire Aristotle Onasis,
second husband of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy and "The Old Professor of
Baseball," Casey Stengel. Former Teamster boss, Jimmy Hoffa, disappears
and is presumed murdered. Muhammad Ali knocked out George Forman to
regain the heavyweight championship. Cincinnati edged out Boston 4-3 for
the World Series win. The Kentucky Derby winner was Foolish Pleasure.
Movies at the top of the list for 1975 included Alice Doesn't Live Here
Anymore, Dog Day Afternoon, Three Days of the Condor, and Jaws. The
Academy Award for the best picture went to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's
Nest. Musicians entertained us with such great songs as Love Will Keep
Us Together, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and Rhinestone Cowboy. Album
of the year was Paul Simon's Still Crazy After all These Years. Broadway
hits were The Wiz, A Chorus Line, and Gypsy. Yes, when you think about
it, things have changed a lot in 31 years. But, after all this time
there are some things which have remained the same. One good thing is
that the Kite Loft is still around and thriving after 31 years of hard
work and lots of dedication by everyone involved...and most importantly,
caring about customers and friends who helped them reach this milestone.
Thanks for a very successful 31 years, Bill, Mary, Jay, Mary Lynn,
Cindy, Laura and Chris
